Fahmi still hasn't received any email from them for the permission to film in Valentines Park. But she's going to email them again in 13th October Monday if she doesn’t receive any email before 4:00pm. We have contacted the general enquires. If we are not allowed then we have to change our location.

RISK ASSESSMENT FORM

My partner and I are still working on the risk assessment, this is for Valentines Park. Due to the weather and the time I get it was difficult for me to analyse and take pictures for Essex road south as this week I wanted to take the pictures but I wasn't allowed as there a lot of people at the bus stop and it was also raining.

Actors: Audition

On 6th October Monday lunchtime at 12:50 my partner Fahmi and I went to the audition for to audition our actors. Unfortunately no one turned up and the actors that did left. But however as we still haven't decided who is going to be our actor, although I suggested one of my friend could play as an emergency and my sister could be available to play in our film.

Before 22nd October our actor will be finalised. But this week I will ask for another audition if possible.

costumes, props or make up

Due to the character we want to portray we decided it would be better if we have less make-up and ordinary clothes. The character is from an working class background and so want more typical ordinary clothes implying her emotion, character and her personality.which will helpful in her expression for e.g when she sees the envelope and when she passes around shops.

Costume: Trouser/tight skinny, t-shirt , old jacket.
make Up: eye-liner, lip stick(light make up)
props: envelope, park bench, paint,ladder,purse.

Myself and Fahmi usually whatsapp our ideas to each other e.g as we only see each other in 3 lessons a week, we decided whatsapp would make it easier for us to have our conversion.

We could also do the scene of them sitting in this bench first then move on to another one.

This location we decided should be used of them coming to this bench.

This bench can also be used as it’s quite dark in that place so it would be suitable to hide the money there.

 The scene of them slipping on the banana.

We want W19 bus to be filmed because it comes after every 20 minutes and when the character misses the bus , we want the annoyed expression of them worrying that they need to wait for another bus now.

Usually there's always a beggar sitting outside the station and so because the location is close to us and since there's always beggars sitting outside the station, it would suit our scene of the character passing the beggar.

Due to the restrictions of some locations Westfield Shepard bush was the only location we came up with. We are going to shoot outside the shopping centre.

This location could be where we have the character walking through Westfield and looking around the shops.

In here it would be really good if we shoot here as we want to show our actor walking around with the money and going to inside Westfield yet its always busy in this location. Another use of this location is that she comes back from the scene.

Short film inspirations

These pictures above inspired our 'unfortunate events' in our short film.

The first two images are from a movie called "Just my luck", I found that this movie is very similar to our short film idea, it has a lot of humorous moments and is based on the concept of good luck/fortune. Many comical things happen to the characters in this movie which inspired me, I thought the scene when the protagonist sits on the bench with wet paint was hilarious so I incorporated that scene in to our film. This scene also stood at to me when I watched the trailer for the film, therefore I decided to use it.

 

The third picture above is of Fahmi (my partner) ,who ironically, got water from a puddle splashed onto her whilst on the way to college in the morning. I found this quiet amusing and felt that this is the kind of event could occur to our character in our short film thus, depending on the weather on the day we shoot our short film, we are going try to incorporate this in our film.

 

The last picture is an image I found on Google as we wanted our character to drop their ice cream cone on the floor, I just wanted an picture to give me an idea of how it would look.
